The light leak is really disappointing from this latest roll of film but oh well.... These photos are from a new cafe in Nakameguro. It's so lovely and I love every detail about the space, all so beautiful... Another great thing is that they are open for breakfast from 9am, while most cafes open from 11 or 12pm! You'd think you have come to a countryside of France while sitting at the table drinking fresh herb tea - yes it's called La vie a la campagne :)

  2. love it! it looks so rustic and simple =) Japan is truly amazing in understanding how to recreate atmospheres from other countries! It looks so authentic! I've just made a blog entry about the countryside too =)

    1. Actually the owner of this cafe is from Europe so I guess it is a bit different, but yes there are many cafes and shops that people recreate atmospheres from other countries so well :)

  6. Beautiful photos as always! The light leaks add character to the photos so don't worry about it. So many people try to get those on purpose yours naturally happened and they work! I got your package yesterday, thank you. All the papers are so pretty. I did a post about it http://craftylove.blogspot.com/2012/07/i-received-my-awesome-package-from-hiki.html

    1. Yes Jeannese, you told me how I can avoid the light leaks with black tapes and I tried that before but completely forgot about it as last time it was ok without doing anything! And thank you so so much for a wonderful post about your purchase from uguisu!!!!!

  7. oh how pretty!
and i love the french theme. yes, i noticed while staying in Japan, many of the little cafe's are only open for a short amount of time. but that must be an easy shift to do. hehe
makes it more special i guess. :-)

    1. hey aron! not just cafes but shops do not open till like 11 or even 12 here and that i think is because people do not start going out till such time! i think us japanese are a bit lazy when it comes to morning activities especially on weekends! (probably because people work or drink till late mostly on weeknights ha ha!)

  11. It's beautiful! When I saw the bowls, I thought they were French. The tables are gorgeous too.
It's too bad about the light leaks, but I have to admit that they add an air of mystery.
