These are taken at my favourite cafes in Tokyo. I like spending my time alone in a cafe examining every little detail of the space and smile to myself (in my heart), but it's also lovely to share it with someone of course i need to have that as well :)
i am so with you re sitting in cafes and enjoying the details. i am continually surprised to find things i hadn't noticed before, even in places that i count as my favorites...
really like the blog and look forward to more of your tales...
I absolutely love your photography! You have a unique way of seeing things and presenting it to your viewers! I can only hope that I have the same keen eye for art and beauty.
tokyo has some great cafes; that's for sure (and your beautiful photos are proof of this!) every time i go back to tokyo and always manage to find a new amazing cafe hidden down some residential street. you are very lucky to be in a land of such lush cafes and coffee!!
its random but your post made me think of the ceramic artist makoto kogoshima we talked about some time ago. while in fukuoka in december, i was lucky enough to met him in a gallery/shop where he sells some of his work. he's such a nice guy, modest and as interesting as his ceramics:)however, he didnt like the idea of people taking pics of his work for their blogs:)
i like to do that too. great shots -- happy new year!
ReplyDeletea friend of mine just got back from 2 weeks in tokyo and loved it.
